                                     LATEST NEWS FROM LA MICHELE

Here at La Michele we pride ourselves on the warm greetings we offer to all our guests, both first-timers and repeat visitors.  And this year we are pleased to welcome back Chef Mark, an old friend of ours and someone who is remembered fondly by so many  guests who have stayed at La Michele in the past.

Mark has been plying his catering skills in the UK for the past four years but fortunately he has decided to return to Guernsey and resume his role as Head Chef at La Michele where his tasty meals have tickled many a taste bud over a number of years.  We are sure you will join us in welcoming his return and we hope that you will be able to visit La Michele again soon and enjoy his cuisine.

But the good news doesn't stop there. Everyone here on the island is gearing up for the release on April 20 of the film version of  The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, which  stars Lily James and Penelope Wilton (both of Downton Abbey fame) and Tom Courtenay.  Events are planned in the island throughout the 2018 holiday season to coincide with the launch of the film.  To watch a preview trailer of this much anticipated film - simply a must for all lovers of Guernsey  -  go to https://movie.visitguernsey.com

The ever popular Spring Walking Festival begins May 12 and runs through to May 28 offering a wide variety of interesting walks.   You will have the opportunity to explore  underground tunnels, fortresses, the mysteries of St Peter Port, and learn all about the delightful Guernsey cows, granite and diamonds plus so much more.  You will find details of all walks are on the VisitGuernsey website.

All in all, 2018 is a great year to visit Guernsey and along with our returning Chef Mark, we would love to welcome you back to La Michele.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Dino and Celeste Castro
